Margaret Clay Ferguson, an American botanist. She graduated from in 1899 from Cornell University, and later became head of the department of botany at Wellesley College.

She received the degree of Ph.D. from Cornell University, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science elected her a fellow. Her writings consist mainly of papers on plant embryology and physiology.
