Mary Louise Booth, an American journalist, translator, and miscellaneous writer. She early devoted herself to making translations of important French works.

In 1859 she published her History of New York. She also translated some fairy tales of Laboulaye, and Martin’s abridgment of History of France (1880).

Miss Booth was editor of Harper’s Bazaar from its beginning until her death.
