Susan Glaspell, an American novelist, born at Davenport, Iowa. She is the author of: The Glory of the Conquered, The Visioning, and Lifted Masks – novels that are intensely emotional and distinguished by their vivid realism and imaginative power. Miss Glaspell has also written a number of powerful one-act plays.
