Christina G. Rossetti

Christina G. Rosetti, an English poet, sister of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, born in London of Italian parents. Her life was devoted to her mother, to her two aged aunts, to the services of her Church, and to the succour [sic] of the poor.
While her genius was not as pronounced as that of her brother, it had the same exquisite quality. She wrote many tender, beautiful poems, and some of her devotional prose is of the highest order.
Alice Maynell wrote an illuminative [sic] introduction to Poems by Christina Rossetti, published in 1910.
